New Consultation Overview
Thank you for initiating a consultation with our law office. We are looking forward to meeting you and assisting you with your immigration matter. Here you will find some helpful information to make sure you are able to get the most benefit from your consultation.
Consultation Policies
All new consultations are conducted via phone or video call only at this time. In person client meetings are available by appointment only.
What should you have with you during your consultation?
If you are not fluent in English, please have a competent translator to assist you. Our office cannot provide translation services in any language. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you appear for your consultation without a translator, we will have to reschedule your appointment.
Please also bring any and all relevant documentation that may assist us in reviewing your case or determining your eligibility for an immigration benefit, such as:
- Birth/Death/Marriage/Adoption certificates
- Prior immigration application documents (receipts, approvals, denials, etc.)
- Immigration benefit documents, such as work cards, green cards, passports, visas, naturalization certificates, etc.
- Immigration court hearing notices and other correspondence
- Criminal records, including charging documents and final dispositions
What to expect during the consultation
Most consultations take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. We are often booked for appointments back to back, so please do not be late for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will have to reschedule your appointment to ensure we have adequate time to meet with our other scheduled clients.
If your call is via zoom, please be sure to download the program and test your camera and microphone before our call.
What is the consultation fee policy?
The consultation fee for the initial meeting is $100. The fee is payable and due before your consultation and is non-refundable. We will send you a link to make the payment online via a bank account or credit card before the consultation.
There may also be a consultation fee for a follow-up or second consultation if our office is not retained initially. Please note that even if you have previously consulted with our office more than 30 days ago and you are now wanting to retain our office for your case, we may still require a follow up paid consultation. This is because laws and policies change frequently and without notice in the immigration field and it is imperative that we fully evaluate your eligibility for a benefit in light of the current legal landscape, as well as any changes that may have occured in your personal situation since our last meeting.
